As with all trends, the youth of today remembers bikes of their childhood. The bikes that were big in that time were the Japanese bikes. They were more reliable, faster, easier to ride and seemed to go on forever. The bikes i wanted and dreamed of owning were bikes from Yamaha, the RD's the YZF's the R1's, Suzuki, the GSXR range, Honda, the Fireblade, and Kawasaki, the ZXR range. These were all superbikes at the time. Everyone who was anyone wanted to own one of these. They are fast becoming rarer and rarer, prices are rising for the  extremely rare & restored ones. The ones that ended up in the shed waiting to be repaired are now being dug out and rebuilt. The fully restored bikes are becoming collectors items, most of which are looked after by the very lucky owners.
